Where the Volcano Meets the Wave
Face a 70-degree, 125-foot drop through a clear tube on Ko'okiri Body Plunge. Battle rapids and waves on TeAwa The Fearless River. Ride the swooping twists of Honu ika Moana multi-person raft slides. Or float the tropical Kopiko Wai Winding River through glowing caves and lush landscapes.
Waturi Beach is a sprawling wave pool with views of the towering Krakatau volcano, while Runamukka Reef and Tot Tiki Reef offer shallow pools, fountains, and mini slides for younger kids.
Tips for Your Volcano Bay Visit
Arrive early. The most popular slides build long virtual queues by mid-morning. Getting there at park open gives you the best TapuTapu return times.
Bring reef-safe sunscreen. The Florida sun reflects off the water and hits harder than you expect. Reapply often throughout the day.
Download the Universal app. Check wait times, order food, and find your way around the park without wandering.
Combo tickets save money. Admission is separate from Universal's theme parks, but multi-day passes and combo tickets offer better value. Advance purchase is recommended during busy seasons.
Claim a cabana early. Premium cabanas include a personal attendant, food and drink service, and a shaded retreat — they sell out fast on peak days.
